For Nepali enterprises and European enterprises

Cloud that meets both your regulator and your CFO.

Nepali enterprises have to host customer data domestically. European enterprises want GDPR-aligned posture, sustainable compute, and a credible alternative to US-hyperscaler pricing. ScaLabs Cloud is both — the same Kathmandu hardware, contracted through whichever entity fits your jurisdiction.

Why Nepali enterprises pick us

The only AI-native cloud actually based in Nepal.

Nepal Rastra Bank guidance, Beema Samiti rules, and an increasingly explicit Information Technology framework require regulated Nepali entities to host customer data domestically. The realistic options today are running your own racks or contracting with us. We are not a foreign cloud with a Nepali sales office — the hardware, the team, and the legal entity are all in Kathmandu.

01

Data stays in Nepal

Banks, insurers, telcos, and a growing list of regulated sectors are required to keep customer data on Nepali soil. We are the only AI-native cloud actually based in Kathmandu — no fig-leaf re-export to a foreign region.

02

NPR billing, NPR contract

ScaLabs Cloud Pvt. Ltd. invoices in Nepali rupees against a domestic contract. No cross-border conversion, no offshore payment fee, no procurement objections from finance teams.

03

Domestic compliance scope

Our incident response, audit trails, and data-handling posture are designed against Nepali regulator expectations — not bolted on as an afterthought to a foreign cloud.

04

In-country support

Engineers in Kathmandu, accessible during your working hours. No 14-hour timezone gap when something breaks.

Why European enterprises pick us

GDPR posture, EU contracting, US-hyperscaler-beating prices.

Scalabs UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Bavaria is a German legal counterparty under German law. The compute happens in Kathmandu on hydropower-clean hardware, transferred under SCCs. Your procurement team gets the documentation it expects; your finance team gets a price that ends the argument.

01

GDPR-aligned by default

Scalabs UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Bavaria contracts with EU customers under German law. SCC-compliant cross-border transfer, German DPA on request, German consumer-protection regime by default.

02

No-training commitment

We do not train models on customer prompts, outputs, files, memory, or tool calls. Ever. Written into the contract, not just the FAQ.

03

Hydropower-clean compute

Nepal's grid is predominantly hydroelectric. Workloads hosted with us carry a fundamentally lower carbon footprint than the equivalent in US, EU, or APAC hyperscalers — measurable in your sustainability report.

04

Substantial price difference

On a like-for-like inference workload, we run at a fraction of the US/EU hyperscaler list price. The Kathmandu cost base + hydropower + owned hardware is the structural reason.

Compliance & data residency

Documentation that holds up in a procurement review.

We are not selling a checkbox. The dual-entity structure, the SCC framework, and the audit posture are designed for the exact procurement and regulator questions enterprise buyers actually ask.

Dual-jurisdiction structure EU customers contract with Scalabs UG (Bavaria). Nepali customers contract with ScaLabs Cloud Pvt. Ltd. (Kathmandu). Same platform, different paper trail.
Data residency choice Workload runs in Kathmandu by default. On-shore deployment review available for Nepali regulated sectors and for EU customers with specific sovereignty requirements.
Audit log retention Per-tenant audit log with configurable retention (90 days default, longer on request). Tenant administrators can export logs at any time.
SCC + DPA Standard Contractual Clauses (Modules 1 and 2) cover the Bavaria → Kathmandu data flow. DPA template available for review during procurement.
No subprocessor surprises Our subprocessor list is public on /privacy and updated before any new vendor is added. EU procurement gets the document set they expect.
Annual third-party review Independent security and privacy review annually, with findings shared with enterprise customers under NDA on request.

Sustainability is a structural advantage, not a marketing claim.

Nepal's electricity grid runs predominantly on hydropower. Compute hosted with us — inference tokens, agent runtimes, VPS workloads, voice generation — carries a fundamentally lower carbon footprint per unit of work than the equivalent on a US, EU, or East-Asian hyperscaler. We publish energy-mix data on request, suitable for inclusion in your CSRD / SECR / equivalent sustainability reporting.

Beyond the grid, our owned-hardware model avoids the procurement and disposal churn of leased-fleet cloud providers — fewer servers replaced per year per customer-serve workload.

Enterprise questions

The procurement and regulator questions we hear most.

Are we Nepali-regulated or EU-regulated?

Both, depending on your contracting entity. If you contract with ScaLabs Cloud Pvt. Ltd., the engagement sits under Nepali law and Nepali regulators. If you contract with Scalabs UG (Bavaria), the engagement sits under German law and the EU regulatory regime. You pick the entity that fits your compliance posture; the underlying hardware and team are the same.

Can a Nepali bank or insurer host customer data with you?

Yes. Nepal Rastra Bank and Beema Samiti guidance generally requires domestic hosting of customer-identifying data. Our Kathmandu data center is in Nepal, the contracting entity is Nepali, the data path is Nepali. We are designed for this constraint from day one — not retrofitted around it.

What about EU GDPR — is the Kathmandu data flow compliant?

Yes. Scalabs UG (Bavaria) is the EU-side controller / processor; ScaLabs Cloud Pvt. Ltd. (Kathmandu) is a subprocessor under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs Modules 1 and 2). Cross-border transfer documentation is available on request. Most EU procurement teams clear us in the same review they would clear an EU subprocessor.

How does the pricing actually compare?

On chat-completion LLM inference, our per-token rate is typically 30-70% below comparable US hyperscaler list pricing. On VPS, our published rates are 60-70% below local Kathmandu data-center competition. On hosted agents and sandboxes, we are usually well below per-CPU-hour rates from US providers. The structural reasons — owned hardware, hydropower, Kathmandu cost base — are not going to change.

Do you offer volume discounts and committed-use pricing?

Yes. Enterprise customers on annual commitments get tiered discounts on top of the public rates. Get in touch and we will quote against your forecasted volumes — typically 15-35% off depending on commitment length and volume.

What does an enterprise onboarding look like?

Conversation → DPA + SCC review → pricing quote against forecasted volume → contract signature → tenant provisioned → SSO and IdP integration → production go-live. We have done this in two weeks for teams that already had a clear use case; budget four to six weeks if it includes a procurement security review.

Do you offer dedicated hardware or single-tenant deployments?

Yes for VPS-style workloads. For inference and hosted agents, we offer reserved-capacity arrangements (your tenant gets guaranteed throughput on shared GPUs) and, for sufficient committed volume, fully dedicated GPU allocations. Talk to us about your sizing.
