S · Sano

Everyday workhorse. Small team apps, modest backends, the default.

S — the everyday tier

Two vCPUs, two gigabytes of RAM, 40 GB NVMe SSD, 2 TB bandwidth. Enough for most small-team workloads without paying for headroom you won’t use. This is the default tier.

What it’s good for

  • Self-hosted apps for a small team (Vaultwarden, Nextcloud-light, Plausible)
  • Small SaaS backends serving a few hundred MAUs
  • Single-region scrapers and ETL pipelines
  • Small-group Minecraft / game-server hosting

What it’s not good for

  • Database-as-a-service (use M or larger for memory)
  • Tier-2 production apps with growth runway > 6 months — start at M

Hardware lineage

Same hardware, dual-ISP redundancy, hydropower. Higher tier = bigger slice; everything else is identical.

Best for

  • Small SaaS backends
  • Self-hosted apps for a team
  • Single-region scrapers and data pipelines
  • Game-server hosting for a small group
